Salvation is a word that means a person has been saved from the penalty of one’s sins. God created the world long ago and made it perfect. God created humans in God’s own image and told them to be fruitful and multiply. God only gave the newly created humans one commandment and that was to not eat of one of the trees in the garden God had planted. God intends that people love the only living God by choice and not by force. The newly created humans did not love God enough and ate from the tree. This disobedience is called sin and it separated humanity from God.

The Father in heaven sent His Son, who we know as Jesus, to be born as a human and then, after living a perfect life died on a cross in our place and took the penalty for sin upon Himself. When I accept Jesus’ sacrifice for me, everything I ever did or will do, is forgiven. I am born again by God’s own Spirit.

Then Jesus gives me a new life, I have peace in my heart and hope for a future that is filled with the presence of God, the way God originally planned when we were created. This means when I die, I will go to the place called paradise where others who love Jesus have gone before me.

One day, Jesus will return to earth to make all things right and all who have trusted in Him will receive new bodies which will live forever, again the way God originally planned. If you would like to know the only true God and creator of the universe you can, even right now. Pray this prayer and mean it from your heart and Jesus will hear you, for He is God, and your sins will be forgiven, you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and be born again:

“Our Father in heaven hallowed be Thy Name. Please forgive my sins and give me a new life. Help me learn how to follow you and be grateful to You for adopting me into Your family and saving my soul. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, you are now saved. I suggest you find a Bible and start reading and a Bible believing church and start living the new life. Congratulations and praise be to Jesus, the Savior of the world!
